Charitable giving is part of our country’s culture, with an estimated 89% of all households giving to charity each year. Advisors are on the front lines of these discussions, yet many are uncomfortable with the conversation and unsure how to guide the client conversation. In this session you get insight into the range of charitable giving in the United States, see the results of research detailing what clients expect from advisors, and the biggest issues faced by advisors, and learn more about how to integrate the giving conversation in the financial and estate planning process. The materials include a questionnaire and checklists to guide the conversation.


Learning Objectives & Outcomes

1. Advisors will get perspective and insight on client needs when planning charitable Gifts.

2. Professional advisors will receive checklists and conversation formats that allow them to identify client’s charitable goals and objectives so that they can provide comprehensive planning that maximizes client resources as well as incorporates personal priorities.

3. Advisors will learn practical charitable planning ideas and options.
